Rochester International Jazz Festival

Bella Events Group serves as Logistics Director for the Rochester International Jazz Festival — one of the world’s leading jazz festivals and a cornerstone of summer in Rochester, New York. Each June, the festival brings together music lovers from across the United States and around the globe for nine days of world-class performances, community connection, and cultural celebration.

Founded in 2002, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, in partnership with Rochester Regional Health, has grown from a modest event of 15,000 attendees to a marquee international music festival drawing more than 210,000 people and generating substantial cultural and economic impact for the region.

Held across multiple stages and venues in downtown Rochester’s cultural district, the festival presents more than 1,750 artists from around the world in over 285 shows spanning jazz and its many musical offshoots — from classic improvisation and bebop to soul, funk, R&B, and avant-garde performances.

The festival’s distinctive format encourages exploration of downtown, with indoor club shows, outdoor stages, ticketed headliners, free concerts, and late-night jam sessions that bring the city to life with music across styles and generations.

As Logistics Director, Bella Events Group manages the complex operational backbone of the festival — from detailed site planning and crowd flow to vendor coordination, permit acquisition, hospitality, and day-of execution. Our team works closely with festival producers, city partners, artists, venues, and public safety officials to ensure every element supports a smooth and memorable festival experience.
